Circular Economy Excellence Center
S&M is establishing the Addis Ababa Circular Economy Excellence Center in partnership with the city's Administration Cleansing Management Agency and with support from the GIZ NatuReS Program.
Waste Valorization and Green Enterprise Development
S&M provides technical assistance to SMEs engaged in composting, plastic recycling, paper recovery, metal recycling, and organic waste treatment.
Decentralized Composting Systems
S&M’s award-winning decentralized composting model, recognized by both C40 Cities and the Addis Ababa City Administration, empowers communities and SMEs to convert organic waste into high-quality compost products for urban agriculture, landscaping, and soil restoration.
Green Jobs
We contributed to the creation of over 20,000 green jobs across multiple recycling and waste valorization value chains.
SME Development
We supported more than 1,500 SMEs in the waste management and recycling sectors, providing technical assistance, training, and market linkages to help them grow and thrive.
